Newcomer's Thoughts

"Newcomer's Thoughts"

I painted a moon leaning on a garbage pail.

Everyone knows that the moon is a circular matzo that comes out at night.

The stars are really starfish from the sea.

Mirrors are opaque.

Also transparent.

They can be translucent when they want to be.

Glass is being replaced with mirrors.

Styrofoam skyscrapers dot the cityscape.

The streets are made of gold and silver.

Sinks, toilets, and bathtubs are of platinum.

Registers are filling up with candy.

Priceless diamonds are being stuffed in garbage cans.

Humans are made from soap.

Soap is wax and wax is clay.

Tomorrows' today's are quite grey.

The city bars serve coffee and tea only.

Starbuck's visitors imbibe on hard spirits.

Supermarkets and delicatessen serve and sell soda.

People these days go around with two different colored eyes.

They wear square hats around circular heads.

Animals urinate chocolate milk and the people drink it.

In an orange picture on an autumn's windy day.
