The Captain's Hell

"The Captain's Hell"

Why breach the planet's core when there is a floor with heaven's door?

I dream about this on the rocks of Mars.

My Captain is perdition's flames.

It was all planned billions of years ago, before the oceans rolled in.

The native with the tattoos has a coffin made up.

The new moon in April's noon sings a tune beyond the Indian Ocean.

The sun was nailed to the sky and a gold doubloon to the post!

The white birds fly above.

The Captain is the champion of darkness.

Pull on your oars to reach him.

He is dead and beckons.
