The Odd Commodity

"The Odd Commodity"

Begonias die as sycamores cry.

Squirrels take escalators to heaven.

You will be in luck if you throw a seven with eleven.

Weekend crowds flock to the malls.

Graffiti artists color the back alley walls.

Some women still wear shawls.

L.A. has spring and summer, only.

No winter or fall.

Imagine a New Years without The Times Square Ball.

Most of us give it our all, when providence gives a call.

The world doesn't seek to enthrall.

It's too tall for being so small.

To really see it you have to be on all four and crawl.
