Love In The Dark Park

                       "Love In The Dark Park"

My most tasty sweet peppermint striped hummingbird.
How I love cross pollinating and mounting with you.
You fell off the wagon like a drunk off a bar stool.
Remember that day the earth stood still for you?
The sun didn't even bother coming out to shine for a week.
We went to Central Garden and made love until the sun awoke.
In the sunlight we played on a seesaw and the swings.
Pumping one another back and forth in our youth.
Underneath a woolen comforter in the frigid winter snow.
It was there in Central Garden where I stroked your fair hair.
Our heads and hearts fit perfectly into one another.
As the storms passed us by in our dream.
Your lips were so soft to kiss.
Your body had its own alluring scent.
Those lovely days of the last century?
When we were still in our teenage years?
What curious things our minds were!!!
Not as curious as our bodies were!
We weren't really even there!
Me, the golden stallion, and you, my silver mare.
Life is cheap but can be fair.
To death it doesn't compare.
In this cupboard I find bare.
