Scanning A Time

"Scanning A Time"

I ate a full moon from a silver spoon.

The green phone from three north was ringing.

A yellow hummingbird was singing in a cage.

A page was turned and books were burned.

Walnuts cracked and computers were hacked.

A plane was flying to a distant shore as the neighbors got robbed next door.

A truck of migrants drove around in an orange grove.

In some border town that didn't make a sound.

It's bound to stop the holler of birds.

They're only trying to collect the dollar.

The border patrol made another collar.

Will there be another tomorrow?

Asked the man in his sorrow.

I tried to agree but could not follow.

Always follow your sorrow.

Like a shadow.

That has no glow.

So what is so is so.

Never stop your show!
